The Mercury News reports that the San Jose Sharks defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-1 Thursday to end its five-game losing streak.
The Joe Thorton, Patrick Marleau and Devin Setoguchi line netted the bulk of the scoring.
No need to worry about Danny Heatley asking for a trade, because Setoguchi was moved to the Thorton line to prime his scoring pump.
The Beast line will return soon enough.
Jason Demers returned to the lineup after a short trip to the minors. He looked very sharp last night, and is probably hungry to retain his spot on the d-line.
Aparently Tod McLellan lit a fire under the butts of the defenesive line as it was scurrying around the ice all night being involved in the play.
Despite moments of dull play, the Sharks’ play was mostly improved.
The Sharks face the Stars Monday.
